Welcome back to Term 3! I hope the holiday break brought your family some time to rest, recharge and reconnect. It’s been wonderful seeing our students return with fresh energy, ready to learn and take on the term ahead.
Term 3 is always a rich and busy one in the school calendar. We’re particularly excited for our Whole School Camp at El Shaddai in Week 5—a highlight for many and a great opportunity to build friendships, confidence and shared memories. We also have excursions, visiting educators, Book Week, Science Week, and leadership opportunities such as our Yarta Parliament visit—all designed to expand students’ understanding of the world and their place in it.
As always, wellbeing is a central focus for us. This term, students will be involved in sessions with SAPOL on personal safety and respectful relationships, as well as Life Education workshops that support their physical and emotional development. Our staff will also engage in Trauma Aware Education with the Mackillop Foundation as part of our ongoing professional growth.
I’d also like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate our wonderful Student Support Officers during SSO Week in Week 5 and throughout this term. Their care, patience and expertise are woven into so much of what we do, and we are incredibly grateful for the difference they make every day.
