What’s The Buzz
What’s the Buzz? is a highly engaging, evidence-based social and emotional learning program run in small groups at our school. It is designed to help students develop key social skills, emotional awareness, and confidence in navigating everyday interactions.
Led by our Pastoral Care Worker and teaching staff, sessions are supportive, practical, and tailored to meet the needs of participating students. The program uses role-plays, stories, games, and discussions to explore important topics such as:
- Making and keeping friends
- Understanding emotions
- Managing anxiety and frustration
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving
- Building empathy and cooperation
Students are encouraged to reflect on real-life situations and practise new strategies in a safe, respectful environment. The small group setting allows for personalised support and helps students feel seen, heard, and valued.
What’s the Buzz? helps students grow socially and emotionally, giving them the tools they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
