Parent Participation/  Volunteers

At Rapid Bay, we highly value and appreciate the involvement of parents in our school community. There are numerous ways in which you can volunteer and contribute to our school. Your participation can be an enriching experience for both you and your child. Here are some opportunities for parent involvement:

The Library: Assisting with tasks such as covering, repairing, processing, and shelving books and resources.

Classroom Programs: Supporting students by listening to reading, preparing displays, and assisting with set work.

Excursions: Providing transport and additional supervision on excursions.

Governing Council: Serving as a council member or participating in sub-committees.

Special Events: Attending and participating in special events and activities at the school.

Responding to Requests: Providing your opinions and feedback through circulars and surveys.

Working Bees: Helping to maintain a safe and attractive environment for our students.

Other Opportunities: There are various other ways to get involved and contribute to the progress and growth of our school. Your ideas and suggestions are always welcome.

If you would like to become a volunteer, please contact the school and arrange a time to speak with the principal. A time will be arranged, which will include a short induction and any necessary training sessions. Please note that Responding to Abuse and Neglect (RAN) training and a mandatory Department for Education criminal history clearance check may be required, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students.

For further information or any inquiries, please feel free to contact the school. We appreciate your support and willingness to be involved in our school community.
