Child Protection Curriculum

We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every student. As part of this commitment, all students from Reception to Year 6 participate in the Child Protection Curriculum, a mandatory program developed by the Department for Education.

The curriculum is designed to teach children the knowledge and skills they need to:

  • Recognise abuse and unsafe situations
  • Understand their right to be safe
  • Identify trusted adults they can talk to
  • Develop strategies to seek help and protect themselves

Lessons are delivered by trained teachers in a respectful, age-appropriate way that is sensitive to the developmental stages of students. Topics are woven into Health and Wellbeing learning and are supported by a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

The Child Protection Curriculum is an essential part of our broader approach to student safety, helping children build confidence, awareness, and personal safety skills.
